I have heard Mark talk about this so much. Mark had all of his fingers but he went on to become a professional engineer. His father and both of his brothers lost fingers and one of his brother’s lost an eye.

October 2016: My son-in-law, Rudy Rubio, and my daughter, Lana Rubio, had just had Willa. They were moving to Guthrie, both stopping their careers as teachers, and we were opening Country to Town Market. Thanks to Jeff Chappell renting us that cute little space on Harrison, we sold the fresh fruits and veggies that Mark grew! It was such a happy time and God had his hand on us. Rudy was hired as a postal carrier and Lana got to stay home and help us with the store. Since then, they had Sadie and when Sadie started going to school full-time, Lana was blessed to be hired to teach Speech, Drama, and Debate at the high school. We are all here because of a humble Oklahoma man, Mark Thomason, who was and continues to be a wonderful influence and inspiration.
