News from Scenic View Orchards. They’ll bring quite the harvest to market Wednesday!
We hope everyone is enjoying the last holiday weekend of summer! It's hard to believe we're already at this point in the season.
Be sure to enjoy the watermelons, cantaloupes, honeydews, peaches, sweet corn, and tomatoes while you still can. Over the next few weeks, many of these summer favorites will begin ending as we transition into fall.
We didn't get any planting done this week, but that certainly doesn't mean it was a quiet week on the farm! We've been busy harvesting lots of vegetables and spending plenty of time in the orchard picking apples and pears. This time of year, it seems like there is always something ready to be picked.
Our online ordering and home delivery service continues to grow, and we want to thank everyone who has been using it! With the increasing number of orders, some deliveries may arrive a little later than our normal 5:00 PM goal this week as we continue to fine-tune our routes and logistics. We appreciate your patience as we work to make the service as efficient as possible.

Asian pears by the half bushel
Red raspberries – limited quantities
Chinese Sticky Rice Corn
Simka plums
Red bell peppers
Yellow bell peppers
Deer pears
We're entering that unique time of year when you can still enjoy a fresh watermelon or ear of sweet corn while also bringing home apples, pears, and winter squash. Enjoy the summer favorites while they last, because fall is quickly making its way onto the farm!
