I’ve heard over the years about certain trees or placement can attract swarms. I believe I’ve found the veritable “honey hole” of swarm box placements. This is the third swarm I have caught hanging a box in the same tree this season. It is by far the largest and I immediately transitioned it to a ten frame deep. They had already starting packing honey in the box. You can see how many bees are gathered on the outside due to limited space in the swarm box. I’m so thankful for yet another swarm!!

The milkweed is blooming, and the bees couldn’t be happier. 🌿🐝

One of the most important wildflowers in the field, milkweed provides nectar for pollinators while also supporting monarch butterflies throughout their life cycle. Right now, it’s adding a little extra beauty—and a lot of buzz—to the apiary.

Summer is in full bloom at Honeysuckle Hill. ☀️✨
