🎡 Happy Calhoun County Fair Weekend! 🎡

We hope everyone gets a chance to stop in and enjoy all the fair has to offer — the rides, pageants, music & entertainment, derby, truck & tractor pulls, livestock, artwork, parade, and, of course, all the crafts and delicious food from our local vendors! ❤️

A LOT of hard work goes on behind the scenes to make this a fun weekend for our community, and the fair is also a wonderful opportunity for local school and community groups to raise funds. So be sure to stop by, shop their stands, grab some goodies, and support the folks who help make our community so special!

🧺 Our garden and pumpkins took a pretty good hit from the deer the last couple weeks, but we're still stocking our Self-Serve Farmstand with the garden goods we have left as they ripen! Also, don't forget that we have some Self-Serve You-Pick veggies at the west side of our Flower Field! 🍅🥒🌶️🎃

And as we enjoy the fair and celebrate our community, please keep the Sibley family in your thoughts and prayers. They are such an instrumental part of the Calhoun County Fair, especially the livestock portion, and our community is facing an unimaginable loss with the passing of their son. 🙏🏻 🫂 Please give the Sibleys and their loved ones some extra love, prayers, and support during this incredibly difficult time.

Just kicking off the day by mooning all our customers! 😁 😂 Did yall see the Sturgeon Moon this morning?! 😍 Absolutely beautiful! 🌕✨

And don't forget to watch for the Blood Moon tonight, starting around 8:30 PM, with the maximum eclipse expected a little after 11 PM! 🌕🌑

Our Self-Serve Farmstand is freshly restocked with garden veggies and fruit! 🍅🥒🍉 We anticipate having some pumpkins coming soon, too! 🎃

Unfortunately, we won't have any more peaches this season—Mother Nature has claimed them. 🍑💔

Our You-Pick Flower Field is absolutely thriving! 🌸 The celosia have really popped, and it's easy to lose track of time wandering through and looking at all the unique blooms! 😍 We've also added a few more FREE vases, along with some ice cream buckets for those bigger bouquets to take home in. Please just remember to leave our buckets with handles here for picking! 💐

Does anyone recognize these items? The cane was found in our flower field on 8/26, and the pocket knife was found behind the farmstand a few weeks ago.

There was a gentleman at the stand a while back looking for his pocket knife, but unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name!

We would love to get these items back to their owners. Please reach out if either of these belongs to you, or if you know who they belong to! Thank you! 😊

Garden harvests and beautiful sunsets… 🌅🌿 No matter what kind of day you’re having, there’s something about ending it at the farm that just makes everything a little better. ❤️

Our Self-Serve Farmstand is restocked with a few more fresh-picked veggies! 🍅🌶️🥒🍆🫑🫛

We’ve got lots of cherry tomatoes ripening, but those bigger beefsteak tomatoes are being stubborn and staying green! 😂 Hopefully they’ll decide to turn one of these days!

And while you’re at the Farmstand, don’t forget to grab yourself a fresh bouquet from our You-Pick Flower Field! 💐🌻 Pick a few blooms, take home a little sunshine, and brighten up your kitchen table!

Our Self-Serve Farmstand is freshly stocked with veggies! 🥒🌶️🫑🍅🍆 We have okra, beans, eggplant, sweet & hot peppers, cucumbers, and a few tomatoes! Plus, we have a few watermelons in both yellow- and orange-flesh varieties! 🍉

We also have some you-pick veggies starting to ripen at the West Side of our Flower Field, including tomatoes, eggplant, and okra! 🍅 Pick your own - prices not listed, your choice on donation for you-pick veggies!

And our You-Pick Flower Field is absolutely thriving! 🌸🌻 The blooms are buzzing with all kinds of happy pollinators, and there are plenty of beautiful flowers ready for you to pick and take home. 🐝🦋

The blooms are popping, and there’s even more to come! 💐 We have zinnias, sunflowers, celosia, marigolds, gomphrena, basil, and more blooming throughout the field and our roadside flower mix!

Come by at your leisure, wander through the flowers, enjoy the views, watch the butterflies and hummingbirds, and pick yourself a beautiful bouquet to take home. 🦋🐝🌻

At those prices, you can buy yourself flowers AND pick some to share! 😉

📍 A couple tips:
🌅 Mornings and evenings are the best times to pick to avoid the cutting flowers in the heat of the day.

💐 Our You-Pick Flower Field is Now OPEN for Self-Serve! 💐

🌸 Pick Flowers Anytime—Your Schedule, Your Way! No need to wait for a scheduled event—our flower field is conveniently located adjacent to our Self-Serve Farmstand and is ready when you are! https://maps.app.goo.gl/Sv3uBinB7YLTaTNm7

Our flower field is bursting with so many colorful blooms! And with some flowers just beginning to bloom, we expect beautiful flowers all the way through September.

You’ll also notice a few garden vegetables that we’re experimenting with as part of our self-serve experience! We have tomatoes (Roma, Beefsteak, and Cherry varieties), okra, eggplant, ground cherries, along with some melons and squash. The vegetables are still in their early stages, but if you spot something ripe, feel free to pick and enjoy it!

🥤 $5 – Fill a 20oz cup with flowers
🪣 $20 – Fill a 2-gallon bucket with flowers

🚗Please park beside or behind our red Self-Serve Farmstand for safety and easy access.
🐝Take a moment to enjoy the magic of nature all around you! Our Flower Field is alive with butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, frogs, grasshoppers, and even the occasional deer strolling by. Listen to the buzz, watch the wings flutter, and soak in the beauty of the outdoors.
⚠️Please use caution while walking—the ground may be uneven in spots.
🥤Cups are yours to keep, but please return buckets and shears so others can enjoy them too.
✂️If a pair of shears breaks or loses the spring, just set them on the bottom shelf of the Garden Bench and grab another pair.
🚫 No restrooms on site!

Happy Monday! 🍑

The week is off to a sweet start... we just stocked another limited batch of fresh-picked, tree-ripened peaches at our Self-Serve Farmstand!

This will likely be it for this round of peaches. We do have a couple more trees with some mostly green peaches, so we're hoping for one more harvest once those ripen—but Mother Nature gets the final say, so no promises!

While you're at the Farmstand, we also have a few fresh veggies stocked. 🥒🍅

And one more exciting update...if all goes well, we're aiming to open our You-Pick Flower Field next Sunday! 🌸💐 We can't wait to welcome everyone out to wander the blooms and build beautiful bouquets.
