Today I’d like to introduce Bill over at Cherry Street Tavern, located on the corner of 22nd and Cherry St in Center City Philadelphia! Bill was born in 1952 and raised in northeast Philadelphia. His high school football coach owned it beforehand and Bill had worked under him for some years and even as a coach at La Salle College high school from 1972-1982. Almost a decade after his coaching career, Bill was ready to start a new chapter in his life and that was to own Cherry Street Tavern! His brother Bob soon finished his college years and came alongside Bill to run the place. For those of you that don’t know, this is place has the best roast beef sandwich in all of the city. For those of you that know, you know. Cherry St Tavern celebrated its 50th consecutive St. Patrick’s day this past year. Bill and Bob are original customers of BTS Foods since 1997! On his days off, Bill enjoys fishing down in Wildwood and Sea Isle with his son. Bill and Bob are openly looking to sell the place in the future and enjoy retirement, hopefully the buyer can preserve this place and keep the legendary Cherry St Tavern going for decades to come! Swipe to see how we go above and beyond for our customers, we could easily leave it upstairs and make them take it to the basement, but we take pride in our service and do whatever it takes to keep customers happy!

Everyone meet Berto!! Berto is a Guatemalan native who immigrated to the US in 1997 at the age of 24. He lived in California for some years, where most of his family still lives today, until he moved to New Jersey and bought Palermo’s pizza in 2005. My father has been serving Palermo’s since 2017 when he acquired Skyline Foods. BTS Foods looks forward to serving you for many more decades to come! Making a 2 for 1 post here!! For those of you that don’t know, this is my dad Brian T. Smith, owner of BTS Foods LLC. He has owned BTS Foods since 1997, nearly 3 decades! He also owns Shamrock Deli in Audobon, Nj since 2020 and most recently acquired Jersey Boys Jerky. Brian is a shore boy at heart, growing up in Ventnor, Nj but moved out to the country side in Hammonton, Nj when he met my mom. Since my dad has owned BTS, he has worked countless days going to bed at 11 p.m. and up by 5 a.m. to make sure his customers got everything they need and to make sure he could carry out the best service he possibly could. Even with the heavy work load, my dad did his very best to show up to every little league game, wrestling match, or soccer game my sister and I ever had. He truly gave his everything to make a great life for our family that I am so grateful for and only hope I can fill half of his shoes when I become a father. So from the BTS family to all the fathers out there, have a blessed and safe Father’s Day! Also be sure to stop in Shamrock Deli for their amazing, specials, famous potato salad, and so much more!

Meet The Sandwich Shop crew!! From left to right we have Doug, Jayda, (me of course), and Chris. Doug and Chris are the owners of The Sandwich Shop, formerly known as Dave’s Famous Subs in Wrightstown, NJ. BTS had been serving Dave’s for over a decade, and when you hear that ownership is changing hands, it can be a little worrying. But these guys stepped up big and really turned this place into something special and we couldn’t ask for more. Doug and Chris share a friendship of almost 20 years and even live right next door to each other! This is also not their only business they own together, they also own All About Gutters, while Doug also owns Ultimate Collision out of Wrightstown and Chris owns Start To Finish Home Improvements. They bought The Sandwich Shop a little over 3 years ago and have been doing a great job for first time food business owners! Jayda is the head honcho in charge over at the shop and sees over the day to day operations, ordering, and is an absolute pleasure to deal with. These guys are absolutely awesome and put out an even better product. Check out The Sandwich Shop and The Sandwich Shop Mobile for any future events!! Thanks guys and we look forward to serving you for years to come. Also try the newest special “The Bryce” chicken cheesesteak quesadilla with cooper sharp, bacon and a side of their house made buffalo sauce, my favorite!!

I will say, trying to post everyday is a lot tougher than I had imagined!! But we will get there!! I’d like to introduce some of the crew from Sub Maria’s Deli in Trenton, NJ. On the left is Chong. Chong was born in Irene City, South Korea and immigrated to the US with his parents in 1980 at only 16 years old. He hadn’t purchased Sub Maria’s until March of 2001 but in the mean time he had owned other food businesses most notably Campus Bar and Grill on Temple campus. On the right, we have Pierce, Chong’s youngest son. Pierce has been in and around the food business since he was a young child helping his parents out when needed. Pierce will set out to continue the great business his mother and father have built. BTS has had the pleasure of serving Sub Marias since early 2010s. Shout out to my guy Pedro, Sub Maria’s head cook. I’ve known Pedro since I was in high school and he never fails to greet me with an “¡Amigo! ¿Como estas, todo bien?” Check out Sub Maria’s Deli in Trenton, NJ!!

Hectic day yesterday, forgot to take a picture and make a post. BTS coming out with some new apparel for our employees and whoever would like to purchase one for $20. Hoping to have them ready within the next 2 weeks, DM us with a size if you are interested! We appreciate everyone’s support!

On today’s episode, we have John from Angelo’s II Pizzeria & Ristorante. John and his Brother-in-Law Tom (wasn’t here today unfortunately) bought Angelo’s in 1999 after immigrating from Albania in 1996. Most of their family still live there to this day. John and Tom plan to hand down the business to 2nd generation Tony and Dylan. BTS Foods has had the pleasure of serving Angelo’s since the early 2000s and are a testament of what a great customer is. We look forward to serving the next generation for years to come. Check out Angelo’s II Pizzeria & Ristorante in Mt Laurel, NJ. Their pizza is one of my personal favorites and they have a huge menu selection!

6/4/26 soft opening/VIP party at Crispy Cones located at the eagle plaza in Vorhees, NJ 📍. Long time customer and owners of Frank’s A Lot in the Reading terminal market (Center City), Russ and Mariska, have partnered up with Mark to open NJ’s first Crispy Cones! Best of luck to everyone involved on your new venture. The cones and ice cream were phenomenal. Watch out, second location in Marlton already in the works!
