Two bucklings have joined us at Main Street Cheese -- come pay a visit and welcome them to the neighborhood! And of course there's cheese to boot!

Come out and support NH farmers -- our futures depend on our farmers!!! Let's do what we can to help them thrive!

The Northeast Organic Farming Association of New Hampshire (NOFA-NH) is organizing a NH Farmer Day of Action on July 14, 2025 to bring together our community of local farmers, food system advocates, and eaters to celebrate our food provisioners and learn how agricultural policy is affecting farmers in NH and beyond.

Agricultural issues impact all our lives. Together we can advocate for policy prescriptions that can help build a food system worthy of future generations. Join the movement, build community, and support those who keep us fed.

When: Monday, July 14, 2025, 5:15 – 7:00 pm

Where: State Capitol, Concord, NH

Bring friends, family, signs, and voices. There will be a sign making party before the event from 4:15-5:15PM.

NOFA-NH is organizing a Farmer Listening Session via Zoom on Sunday afternoon June 8th from 3:00PM-4:00PM to gather input from farmers for a letter to our Congressional delegation on the wide range of policies impacting farmers – from funding freezes, to decreased revenues to our economy, to SNAP benefits, etc. We also hope to discuss the budget appropriations for the Agriculture Committee and the recently released Make America Healthy Report.

Given the urgency of these matters for farmers, and eaters alike, we decided to offer this now despite it being the busy planting and growing season. We also recognize the power farmers have – both as trusted messengers and as innovative and practical people with solutions to many of our crises. Only together can we respond effectively to our current emergency. Only together can we use the fertility of this moment of breakdown to build the worlds we want!

If you are a food provisioner – a farmer, farmworker, processor, or fisher – and would like to attend the zoom session, please email Sarah at [email protected] for the Zoom link (link in bio!) and with any questions/comments you might have. If unable to attend, feel free to send a message to that email. We want to know your experiences on the ground!

We plan to follow up before long with an afternoon, in-person event “A Farmer/Eater Day of Action” to come together at this time to support one another, hear from a few speakers, and educate eaters about how agricultural policy is impacting farmers and all of our lives. This event will be part of World Localization Day (WLD) 2025 – events happening around the world to celebrate efforts which strengthen ecological economies, local communities, and food systems. Stay tuned for further details.
