We love our goat’s milk! We use it for everything that we once used cow milk for. I personally made the switch due to a protein intolerance with cows milk. Goats milk is easier to digest!

Happy June Dairy Month! 🥛🐐

While cows may get most of the spotlight, we’re here to celebrate “the other” dairy animal — goats!

Dairy goats provide delicious milk, support farms and families, and bring a whole lot of personality to the dairy industry. This month, we’re raising a glass to the hardworking does, dedicated breeders, and everyone who knows that great dairy comes in more than one size.

We bought Kevin and Jimmy for parasite control. There’s very little research on pasture pigs in breaking parasite cycles for ruminants but in our experience it has been effective!

Interested in raising pasture pork or already have some pigs in the pasture? Here are some great tips for managing pasture-raised pigs during the summer! 🐷☀️

Summer can be a great season for pasture-raised pigs, but managing heat stress is critical for maintaining animal health and performance. Pigs do not sweat efficiently, making access to shade and cooling areas essential. Natural shade from trees, portable shade structures, and wallows can help pigs regulate their body temperature during hot weather.

Fresh, clean water should be available at all times, as water consumption increases significantly during summer months. Rotating pigs through pastures can help prevent overgrazing, reduce parasite pressure, and maintain forage quality. Producers should also monitor pigs for signs of heat stress, including rapid breathing, lethargy, and reduced feed intake.

With proper management, pasture-raised pigs can thrive during the summer while benefiting from access to natural behaviors and productive grazing systems.

What makes Jones Mini Farm special? 🌻🐐

In a world full of roadside stands and self-serve markets, we believe what makes us unique is our commitment to quality, transparency, and truly local agriculture.

✅ We are proudly SCDA Roadside Market Certified, meaning we meet state standards for operating a roadside market and are committed to providing a safe, trustworthy shopping experience.

✅ We are also Certified SC Grown, which means you can shop confidently knowing you’re supporting products grown and produced right here in South Carolina.

But beyond certifications, what really sets us apart is the heart behind what we do.

We don’t just sell products — we share what we grow, bake, make, and raise ourselves. From farm-fresh eggs and produce to goat milk products, baked goods made from cherished family recipes, local honey, fresh flowers, and handmade goods, we focus on quality over quantity and intentional farming on a small scale.

When you stop by our stand, you’re supporting a local family farm, sustainable agriculture, and a passion for bringing wholesome, unique products to our community.

Thank you for supporting local, shopping small, and being part of our farm story. ❤️
