We are reaching out to our hunters. Please be advised that all of the deer for the 25 season have all been processed. We still have a few that have yet to be picked up by our customers. We have tried reaching out to those but some peoples voicemails are full. Please pick them up no later than 1/10/26 as we need our freezer space.

Please note..today was the last day of our extended hours. As of Monday Dec 8th, we will be back to our regular hours. M-F 8a -5pm. Saturdays 8a-12pm. Closed on Sundays. If you are dropping a deer of for processing, we kindly ask that you have it to us 1 hour prior to our closing time. We hope you all had a successful gun season and we all appreciate your support and business!!!

Do[nate] a deer! 🦌 Hunting season is in full-swing, and while the Food Bank and food pantries CANNOT accept venison directly from hunters, there are opportunities to donate your deer to benefit neighbors in need.

First, choose a New York State and Feeding America approved processor from the list at feedingnys.org/hunters/. Next, indicate to the processor that you would like to donate the meat; they will have you fill out a donation form. From there, the venison will be safely processed and delivered to the Food Bank for distribution!

Some handy info from NYS DEC.

📣 Attention all NY deer and bear hunters! Two Important Reminders for Tagging and Reporting Your Harvest!

1️⃣ Hunters using paper tags must report their harvest within 48 hours:
Paper tag ➡️Take it ➡️ Tag it ➡️ Report it

2️⃣ Hunters using e-tags (electronic license and tags stored in their HuntFishNY mobile app) must report their harvest immediately, which serves as e-tagging the animal: E-tag ➡️ Take it ➡️ Report it ➡️Tag it if you leave it

Please note: If an e-tagged carcass is left anywhere other than the hunter’s home or vehicle (like with a meat processor), the hunter must attach a written tag with their name, 12-digit DEC ID, and 8-digit harvest report confirmation number. Any tag of your own making will do, as long as this information is legible!

GOOD Evening Hunters!!! Its that time!!!! Are you all geared up and ready for opening day of gun 🔫 season??!! Are you prepared for your hunt?! We are wishing you all a safe, abundant season!

Please know a few things, that will help us process yours and everyones deer 🦌 in a speedier smooth fashion.

To help run things smoothly, it would help us best if you have a printed out tag at the time of dropping off 🦌and giving us your directions. If you do not have a paper tag, you must have your tag/doc #. Please have this ready as it will help speed things up for everyone. Help us help you! 😉

Please also know that we only process on 1st come 1st served basis. There have been times when we have to stop taking deer in as we have limited space. We do apologize, however, we can not make exceptions. ☹️ we appreciate your patience and understanding. We understand it is/can be frustrating, for you and for us. Please be respectful to all. We do the best we can and try to process everything to your liking.

If we DO have to stop accepting deer for processing, it will be posted on our page. Please check this page prior to stopping, hate to see someone show up when we cant fit any more in the coolers.

Our gun season hours are:
MONDAY-FRIDAY 8:00-6:00PM
SATURDAY 8:00-5:00PM
SUNDAY 8:00-12:00.

PLEASE do not drop off deer after hours..

and please, don't drive through our grass, it makes such a mess..

Beautiful female Pittie mix. She came into the shelter wearing a grey harness but with no ID and not chipped. If this lady belongs to you, please call The Broome County Humane Society at 607 724-3709.

We will be accepting deer tomorrow -😁.

As the season gets underway, we kindly ask for you to check out our page for updates on intake status. When gun season starts is when it picks up. We will always take deer in on first come first served basis until we are capacity. If we are UNABLE to take deer in, it will be posted on our page as soon as we hit capacity.

Once it is gun season, we will have our official 'deer season extended hours' as well. But for right now during archery we are M-F 8a to 5pm. Saturday 8-12pm. We are closed on Sunday. We ask that you come no later than a half hour before we close for drop offs, please.
We appreciate your understanding with this as always.
