The Wiley Family has been serving the community of Hayfork for nearly 53 years. In May of 1962, Jim Wiley was presented with the opportunity to lease his own meat dept within Schoffner's Market, recently known as "The Food Cellar". In the summer of 1964, Jim began a business partnership with high school friend, and former co-worker, Bill Becker. Together they moved into the store's current locati

on, naming their business B&W Market. For next 10 years, Jim and Bill grew their business into a community staple. Following Bill Becker's move to Redding in 1975, B&W became, and has remained, Wiley's Market. Jim retired in 1999 and his two son's took over the family business. Kenny and Rick have worked to continue the same principles as their father, providing the community with quality products at fair prices with exceptional customer service. Before Jim's passing, he was proud to provide the opportunity for a third generation to continue his legacy. His grandson, Kenny James, began learning the business in 2009 and is currently being trained by his father and uncle to continue to provide for the community of Hayfork.

Congratulations to all the students of Hayfork High School's FFA Program. It was an honor to join in celebrating the grand opening of the new Saw Mill. Wiley's Market was able to BBQ for all the community members and students who attended. What an incredible opportunity for the students to experience during high school. The Ag Department at HHS is next level! We hope to see more kids enjoy the facilities in years to come.
