🪕 Bluegrass & BBQ Fest: Saturday at NoFo Cleveland. Get ready for a full day of local vendors, a BBQ competition, and live bluegrass on the lawn! Check out their social media for the full lineup of events and to purchase tasting tickets.

🎸 Live Music at Betty’s: Stop by Betty's Country Store on Saturday from 1–4 PM. Enjoy some live music on the porch while you grab a bite to eat!

🍷 Sunday at Yonah Mountain: Wrap up your weekend with live music at Yonah Mountain Vineyards from 1:30–5:30 PM. It is the perfect spot to relax and take in those incredible mountain views.

Somewhere along the way, Betty’s cookies became more than cookies. 🍪

They became road trip traditions.
After-school memories.
Something grandparents bring their grandkids.
Something people crave halfway home to Florida.
Something folks talk about years later.

Before Betty’s Country Store ever became what it is today, there was Betty… standing in a kitchen making giant homemade cookies for her children.

Then the neighbor kids started coming by.
Then friends.
Then the whole town seemed to know when cookies were coming out of the oven.

When Betty’s finally opened its doors, those cookies came too: stacked in jars, bigger than your hand, homemade and unmistakable. And they’ve been there ever since.

Now people come from all over the world to the mountains of North Georgia and somehow end up standing in front of those same cookie jars trying to decide which one to take home.

Some buy one.
Most leave with a bag full.

And tucked away behind it all are the old handwritten recipes stained with flour, butter, and years of use - little reminders that the heart of Betty’s has always been homemade.

In a world where everything changes so fast, there’s something comforting about walking into Betty’s and knowing the cookies are still waiting for you. ❤️

We know parking in Helen has become a major topic lately, especially with upcoming events bringing even more visitors into town.

At Betty’s Country Store, we want our customers and employees to know that we continue to provide:

About a year ago we took the antique gas pumps up from the parking lot. A huge thanks to Pilgrim Rentals for doing some rust proofing restoration and applying a glossy clear coat and much more to extend the life of these "Fry 117" 10 gallon pumps. Hopefully these will be back at the store in a couple of weeks
