SCG... 6/7... Good Sunday morning. I guess we all made it through the storm. At the farm today are a few tomatoes and onions, along with Beets and mushrooms. We would rather sell out than have leftover produce that is not super fresh.
We have great hanging baskets and flowers.
The older tomato plants are on their last days. I appreciate they need some TLC. I was amazed what last night's rain did for them.

What a great weekend. It is going to be hot, hot, hot. Enjoy it. We will have our soaps and freeze dried mushroom at Art 's Produce Wagon on SUNDAY ONLY this weekend.

We have great Tomatoes... Locally grown and amazing. We do not have a huge amount We would rather sell out then have bad quality left overs. Along with the tomatoes are beets and white onions.

Chuck is going to make some "Beet Eggs" with our beets and eggs that were gifted to us by our neighbors at DaleView Farms. With fresh beets the eggs come out a deep purple. I am looking forward to them.

The Plant Parlor has Lantana Hanging Baskets, Geraniums, and Petunias. Good, local quality

There are a few Tomato Plants and Marigolds in our "Take What You Want... Pay What You Wish" Clearance. They need some TLC, but if you want them, go for it. They will disappear on Monday.

A couple of years ago, there was some interest in a class to learn canning. While Ed and I were at lunch today with a friend, the subject of canning came up.

With that said, I have a proposal. Is there any interest in a class on canning? This would be with a pressure canner, and a water bath canner will also be discussed.

During the conversation, I had mentioned the possibility of a fermenting class as well. Of course, both of these will only take place if there is interest.

The exact dates and prices will be decided after people have shown enough interest in one or both classes. I can say the classes will be held late summer to early fall.

If you have any interest in one or both, please post a comment below, and if there is something specific you wish to learn in either topic, I will be happy to try and include it in the material.

We have some great tomato plants reduced to $1.00 each. Included are Jet Star, Early Girl, Pear-shaped yellow, Grape, and Carolina Gold.
Herbs ($3.00 each or 2/$.500) include Italian Parsley, Red Basil, Sweet Basil, Par-Cel (Cutting Celery), and Thyme.
We have fresh Geraniums, and Dahlias are $4.00. We have Marigolds and Coleus at $3.00 (2/$5.00 (Yes, can be mixed with herbs))

SCG... 5/29.... We are looking forward to being at Art's Produce Wagon and the Plant Parlor this weekend from 9:30-2:00, both Saturday and Sunday. The self-serve plant area is open all day.
We will have fresh and freeze-dried mushrooms, homemade soaps and bath bombs, as well as the plant list we posted yesterday.

We are so looking forward to the month of June. May is a great Spring month, but there is very little in the way of produce. June changes that. We are leaning into our normal schedule at this point, which is sourcing and buying on Thursdays for a heavy weekend.

The Plant Parlor is open for self-serve on Friday. Chuck will be on site on Saturday with FRESH MUSHROOMS, as well as freeze-dried mushrooms.

Our homemade soaps and bath bombs will also be available.

Honoring all the sacrifices made over the centuries on this Memorial Day. We take the time to reflect on the millions who lost their lives.

The weather is not coorperating with us today (or this entire weekend). We are open at Art's Produce Wagon and The Plant Parlor at Sustainable Country Gentlemen.

Moving forward we are thankful we finally move to our regular schedule of sourcing new merchandise on Thursdays and stocking for the busy weekend. We will be doing that this week.
