Little soap maker confession… even after making my first batch of cold process soap back in 1998 and being a member of the Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetic Guild, I still pulled a rookie move this Memorial weekend. 😅

Here in the Nashville area, storms were rolling in fast, and I knew better than to soap when the pressure and temperatures started shifting. The heat in my shop rose so quickly once the storm moved overhead, and I had to work overtime trying to keep my soap cool and calm instead of turning into a science project. 😂

And honestly… I could hear my grandma in my head the whole time saying, “What’s your hurry?”

Such a good reminder that some things in life were never meant to be rushed. For centuries, soap making has stayed beautifully simple at its core. You slow down. You pay attention. You enjoy the process.

Sometimes we already know the answer in our heart… we just need to listen to it. 🤍

Made with goat milk, kojic acid, turmeric, activated charcoal, and lemongrass 🌿✨

There’s something special about keeping old traditions alive — handcrafted soapmaking, simple ingredients, and passing down heritage and homesteading values to the next generation.
