First Halal Eid Food Fest in Hicksville

For over 50 years, Shaheen has had the privilege and honor of assisting numerous organizers and promoters with their events and festivals. We have been involved in many ground breaking events, including the inaugural Pakistan Day Parade in NYC, the Pakiatan Festival in Washington DC, the Pakiatan Day Parade in Hicksville, the Sufi Festival featuring the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sahib in Central Park, the first Diwali Festival at South Street Seaport, the first Hicksville Mela on Long Island, and many more.

This year, we collaborated with our dear sister Jiniya of Muslim Foodies along with New York South Asian Chamber of Commerce and
COPUR to bring the first Eid Halal Food Fest to Hicksville.

It was a delight to work with someone genuine, humble, and professional like sister Jiniya. With the unwavering support of the community, the event was a resounding success. Many non-Muslim attendees were astounded by the diverse array of halal food from various ethnicities. Thank You to everyone who came out and supported this humble effort especially my dear brother Harry Malhotra and Lionel Chitty who worked very hard in the background to make sure everything went well.
