BOONESBOROUGH DAYS
PARKING AND TRAFFIC INFORMATION

On Saturday and Sunday, September 12th and 13th, 2026 (9am-5pm) the annual Boonesborough Days festival will be held in Shafer Park.

In order to ensure a safe environment for all event attendees, please see the important parking and traffic information below.

PUBLIC PARKING:
• Potomac St. - Near Police Dept.
• Shafer Park - Near Basketball Court
• Municipal Lot - Park Dr.
• Municipal Lot - Behind Town Hall

PAY LOT:
• Stouffer Ave. - FD Lot Behind Alex's

HANDICAP LOT: (Must enter at N. Main St. & Park Dr.)
• Shafer Park Lot / Park Dr. - Near Community Center

ROAD CLOSURE / NO PARKING:
• Park Dr. from N. Main St. to Park View Dr. will be closed to safely accommodate pedestrian traffic and will remain closed for the duration of the event. Only handicap attendees will be able to travel on Park. Dr. to the handicap lot. Also, there will be no parking along any red curbs along Park Dr. and surrounding Shafer Park.

PEDESTRIANS:
• Those pedestrians wanting to cross N. Main St. should utilize the crosswalk at N. Main St. & Park Dr. (Fire Police personnel will be there to assist.)

IN ADDITION TO THE LISTED AVAILABLE LOTS, ANY LEGAL PARKING SPOT MAY BE UTILIZED.

AS A REMINDER, SHAFER PARK IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC AT DARK.

Herbalist 🌿vs. Herbologist 🪄  

“Herbologist” is not the standard professional term used in modern herbalism.

🌿 Herbalist = the commonly used term for someone who studies and/or practices herbalism and works with medicinal plants.
🌿 Herbalism = the practice and study of using plants and plant preparations traditionally for health and wellness.
🌿 Herbologist / Herbology = legitimate dictionary terms relating to the study of herbs, but they’re rarely used professionally in the herbal community today.
🪄 Herbology = the study of magical plants, taught by Professor Sprout at Hogwarts. I hear “herbologist” and immediately think Harry Potter. 🧙‍♀️

And if you hear me say herbalist instead of herbologist around Apotheke DuJardin… now you know why. 

Although “Apotheke Herbology Department” does sound pretty freaking fun. 😂
