Oh wow, Andrew has received a tremendous amount of support from ya’ll since his stand has opened up! 🌽
Since he spends most of his time with his sweet corn patch and working on our family farm, he is not able to be at his stand 24/7. With that being said, he runs on a honor system. The honor system has worked out pretty well for him until recently.
Andrew spends countless hours with his patch. Most don’t realize what goes into growing sweet corn. Once the corn comes up, he has to control weeds, insects/worms/and other bugs, watering his patch, check his corn daily, control any pests that might try to eat his corn all before it gets harvested, and of course, picking the corn. There is a lot more that goes into his patch than this.
He is very appreciative of all the support he is getting and patience you are giving him with trying to improve his corn each year!
He checks on his stand very often during the day while keeping track of his corn and money each day (this is also a very important factor and all goes into his FFA record book too).
Corn has recently disappeared and money has been shorted. If this continues, Andrew will be forced to shut down his stand and sell corn by appointment only.
We would hate to have to do this, because we know having the stand open everyday, all day, makes it very convenient for his customers to stop by whenever!
A lot of time and money goes into growing his sweet corn, so please be ⒽⓄⓃⒺⓈⓉ.
Thank you all for your support and he hopes to continue having his corn readily available at his roadside stand!🌽
To clarify pricing:
2 ears/$1
6 ears/$3
12 ears/$5
Please read the signs at the stand when purchasing sweet corn. This is Andrew’s only way of keeping in touch with his customers and notifying everyone on pricing
