Some (rhymes with) Scrappy Corn. This was a section of our corn that didn't do so well but we always leave them for the raccoons and squirrels to help keep them away from other crops we grow. We'd love to see a perfect field but it just doesn't happen.

We are down to Bean Girl working tirelessly through final inspection of beans and then packaging but we are able to project Pinto, Red, Black, White, Garbanzo, 4 Bean Soup and Chili Mix will be ready for the markets on 9/19 and online by 9/21. In case you thought we'll be done with processing in a few weeks, it doesn't work that way for us as a small farm. This will go on well into next year.

Look for our specialty beans and more through the end of the month and into early October. This includes Adzuki, Mung, Quinoa and Black Eye Peas.

We continue to process the new crop of beans but found time to harvest Ashwagandha that we grow here on the farm. We'll clean the roots and dry them to use for our Healthy, Potent Tinctures and from the tinctures, our Dual Extracted Powder.

The beans aren't ready yet but Labor Day is upon us and we thought you might want to add some of our delicious, Gluten Free bread mixes for your holiday meals so you can enjoy Hamburger Buns, Ciabatta Bread, Corn Meal Muffins and more. Before you can get to this, you have to get them out of the field, finish drying, clean and then process to package. We're done with the field part and busy in the middle of drying and processing so YOUR beans aren't ready yet but they should be in a few weeks and we'll keep you posted.

We had just finished harvesting Beans when one of our friends came to visit as the Moon rose. Enjoy!

Harvest is coming along and we're mixing in our fall planting of Oats to harvest next spring for our stock to make Scottish Oatmeal.

In the meantime, remember we are Gluten Free and almost all of our products are Corn Free. We do grow corn for our Grits and our Cornmeal Muffin Mix but this is separate at our Licensed Commercial Farm and Facility. We even make our own Baking Powder which is Corn and Aluminum Free. We use it in all of our mixes and also have it available for you. One for One but stronger because we don't use fillers like the Big Boys. You can find them all at our Farmers Market Locations and our Online Store.

We are running out of our beans but this year's corn is ready and dried. So how 'bout some Grits? But wait! What's that in the picture? There are 3 kinds now including Regular, Spicy and Blue. We grew Blue Hopi Corn this year to offer another option for you but knowing that it can have a little bit of a bitter aftertaste, we added Nutritional Yeast and Himalayan Pink Salt. Not a lot but enough to make the Blue Grits even better to go with the extra protein this version contains. Ours are also an 8 to 10 minute cook on the stove.

We're still harvesting beans around the rain and have a long way to go but we're steady at it just like we do every year. So, in the meantime, join us at the following markets this weekend:

Raindrops so big they looked like icicles...in August. As hot as it is, we do get breaks during harvest lol. Yesterday afternoon, we got a Humdinger and posted a video last night of it. Meanwhile, we are harvesting beans...slowly. It's been super hot and the additional rain we had this year helped the weeds but we are getting them.

We have a small amount still available at our Farmers Market locations and we continue to target mid to late September for the new crop to come in...if things continue as they are now.

Yep - you know the picture and what it means lol. It's that time of year again that we (and you) anticipate the most...Bean Harvest! We're finishing up checks and adjustments to our harvesting equipment and very soon, we'll be in the fields getting Your Beans. Due to our process, we always have weeds and this year we'll have even more due to the Heat and Rain we've had this year. No worries, if it takes longer (and it will), you're worth it!

Our current stock of beans is running low or out and we anticipate a rough timeframe of late September for the new beans since we have to rough clean, finish drying and then final clean them which takes a while. We don't get in a hurry because we want them to be as close to perfect as a dry bean can be!
