Can you see the Mushroom in the sunset sky?

The much-needed rain we've been getting has helped more than just the crop in our fields, it's helped our raised bed gardens and other outside grow areas we use. Enjoy the pictures this week. As we've caught up in the fields, we're catching up on our products for the markets so we should be fully stocked by the weekend.

Our 16th Year of Planting Your Beans. Lots of work and lots of love and you're worth every bean of it. In a short 4 months or so, they'll be ready for you! Fresh, locally grown and only sold in the same season they are harvested.

It's been busy on the farm with our 16th year of planting Beans along with our Raised Bed Garden and our many Healthy Offerings but we are getting it done and the rain is timing perfectly! Enjoy the pictures this week from around the farm as well as Nature's beautiful blessings.

We caught the Pink Moon last Saturday morning and then we got much needed rain so as soon as it dries enough, we'll be planting beans and finishing the rest of our raised bed garden planters. In the meantime, our potatoes are beginning to flower.

We're accumulating more of our spent Mushroom blocks and this allowed us to add some raised bed planters which means more and different peppers,,,among other things. We do enjoy the beauty of Full Circle Farming!

May brings the start of the Summer Farmers Market Season. This adds our Murfreesboro Saturday Market location and we can't wait (neither can the deer lol). We're also enjoying the cool nights as are our mushrooms and cooler weather crops. Enjoy the Sunrise and Sunset pictures as well.

It's all about the soil. Whether its Vegetables in our Raised Bed Garden, our Mushrooms or the Acres of Beans and Oats we grow, having the right nutrients in the right amounts is key.

Speaking of Beans, planting is right around the corner now that Blackberry Winter has passed and the Deer are Happy, Happy with their treats about to become available now that the Blackberry Bushes (which is plentiful on our farm) have bloomed and fruiting can start. Our Daffodils are also coming on so we are busy prepping and busy enjoying Spring.

Preparation for planting our beans continues along with monitoring our early planting. We always try to make sure we take some time to enjoy the beauty around us as well. Once May comes, the markets heat up and everything gets much busier April is our month to catch our breath before the fun really starts.

Our early planting is coming along nicely as we work our spent mushroom blocks into the rest of our raised bed garden which helps minimize the inputs needed for the soil. The big show which is planting of all of our beans is just around the corner as we prepare for that wonderful time of year when our primary crop cycle begins. It's all about priorities as we have so many products, each of which has its own process so balancing everything is always a challenge but one we love.
