Evie O’Dor, Phillips Middle School art teacher and Orange County Arts Commission Advisory Board member, is inviting market-goers of any age and painting ability for an informal painting/drawing session. We’ll set-up a simple still life composition showcasing our farmers’ beautiful produce. Water-based paint, paper, and brushes provided. Paint for an hour or for 5 minutes! Make and take your own unique keepsake! Saturday, August 15th on the back lawn - don’t miss it! 🎨

With a whopping 477 votes – the results are in! Congratulations to Walker Farm placing first in the slicer category with the Abigail variety! In the cherry category, Fieldstone Garden’s Sungolds took the most votes with 84! There was a tie for runner-up in the slicer category with Screech Owl’s Mystery Orange and Fieldstone Garden’s Martha Washington! Sugar Hill Produce’s Mochi was a close 2nd in the Cherry category. Best name according to our kid tasters was Jellybean Yellow of Hurtgen Meadows and the most photographed tomato of the day was Matt‘s Wild Cherry! Thanks to everyone that came out and enjoyed a true breakfast of champions – tomatoes! 🍅

THIS Saturday, July 18th we celebrate the mighty TOMATO and along with all the varieties of fresh heirloom, slicers and cherry tomatoes - there will be PIE! 🍅 If you have not yet enjoyed a Strong Arm Baking Company fresh tomato pie (or croissant) then you have really been missing out.
