The name Bishop Spring Lavender comes from the couple who settled here in 1844. The well that I pump water from to water; the Lavender comes from a spring named after James and Polly Bishop. The spring has provided water for the people who have lived on this land since 800 BC. Lots of love and the very best that nature has goes into every plant.

U-Pick opening day is tomorrow… and some of the lavender varieties are already standing around looking entirely too ready for visitors. 🪻

Meet Super Blue (Lavandula angustifolia ‘Super Blue’).

With vibrant violet-blue blooms, strong fragrance, and a compact rounded habit, this English lavender variety proves you don’t need a giant plant to deliver a serious splash of color.

Super Blue is known for its richly colored flower spikes, tidy growth, and versatility in gardens, borders, bouquets, and drying alike.

Its vivid blooms rise above silvery green foliage, carrying that classic lavender scent that seems to drift through the field and politely insist you come a little closer.

As part of the Lavandula angustifolia family, Super Blue brings the sweet, familiar fragrance many people picture when they think of traditional English lavender… paired with color that definitely lives up to the name.

Compact? Yes.

Subtle about being blue? Absolutely not.

If you’re joining us for opening weekend, Super Blue will be one of the varieties waiting to meet you.

Melissa Lilac is loved for its delicate coloring, lovely fragrance, and versatility in gardens, bouquets, and dried arrangements alike.

Its pastel blooms rise above silvery green foliage, carrying that classic lavender scent with a softer, sweeter personality to match.

With rich violet-blue blooms, strong fragrance, and a neat rounded habit, this English lavender variety proves you don’t have to be the biggest plant in the field to make an impression.

Big Time Blue is known for bringing bold color without sprawling all over the place, making it a favorite for gardens, borders, bouquets, and drying alike.

Its deep blooms rise above silvery green foliage, carrying that classic lavender scent that seems to drift through the field before you even realize where it’s coming from.

As part of the Lavandula angustifolia family, Big Time Blue brings the sweet, familiar fragrance many people picture when they think of traditional English lavender.

Compact? Yes.
