Shopping local is more than just a feel-good choice, it’s one of the most powerful ways to support the place you call home.

Here in Hilton Head, every farmers market visit, every small purchase, and every conversation with a vendor helps strengthen our community in real ways.

From supporting real people and small businesses to finding one-of-a-kind goods you can’t get anywhere else, shopping local keeps our economy strong, our community connected, and our Lowcountry full of character.

When you shop small, you’re investing in someone’s dream, supporting families, and helping unique businesses continue to grow right here in our backyard.

Visit us every Saturday from 9:30-12:30 at Shelter Cove Community Park and discover why shopping local is so special!

Vendor Spotlight:

If you love baking (or just love a really good vanilla flavor), you have to check out this vanilla extract!

Each bottle is aged for a minimum of one year, giving it a rich, deep flavor that’s ready to use the moment you bring it home. Perfect for baking cookies, cakes, pies, or upgrading your weekend French toast, this is the kind of ingredient that really makes a difference.

Made with Planifolia and Tahitian vanilla beans, this extract is ethically and sustainably sourced, non-GMO, and gluten-free. Crafted with care from start to finish. You can even reuse the beans in your own recipes to keep the goodness going.

Simple, high-quality ingredients, and incredible flavor.

Please see our weekly vendor post and email to see which vendors will be at our market on a specific day.

This May, we’re honored to feature The Children’s Center as our nonprofit of the month! The Children's Center

Their mission is simple and powerful: providing affordable, high-quality early childhood education and childcare for working families. Through a sliding scale tuition program based on household income and family size, they ensure that more children have access to the care and early learning they need, without placing an overwhelming burden on parents.

But it’s more than childcare. The Children’s Center is focused on kindergarten readiness, giving young children a strong educational foundation while supporting parents who are balancing work and family life.

Stop by their booth at the market to learn more about their impact, meet the team, and see how they are helping shape the future of our community, one child at a time.

Supporting organizations like this helps strengthen families, empower children, and build a stronger Lowcountry for all!

Meet Vicki King, the talented maker behind Fabric Art Creations, where forgotten fabrics are given new life through beautiful, handwoven designs.

With a passion for sustainability and craftsmanship, Vicki upcycles and transforms fabric into one-of-a-kind pieces that are both artistic and functional.

From cozy handwoven rugs and decorative bowls to table runners, bags, and everyday home essentials, every item is thoughtfully created by hand, blending texture, color, and creativity into something truly unique.

Vicki’s work is rooted in the idea that beauty can be found in reuse, turning what might be discarded into something meaningful, useful, and full of character. No two pieces are ever exactly alike, making each creation a reflection of both the materials and the maker’s imagination.

Stop by Fabric Art Creations at the Hilton Head Community Market to explore these beautifully upcycled treasures and bring home something handmade, sustainable, and one-of-a-kind.

This Saturday is your last chance to learn more about the Sea Turtle Patrol Hilton Head Island at our market!

A volunteer-driven organization dedicated to protecting and preserving sea turtles along our shoreline.

Every nesting season, from May through August, their team is out early each morning walking Hilton Head’s beaches. Their work is hands-on and deeply important: tracking nesting activity, identifying and marking nests, and helping ensure each one has the best possible chance to safely hatch.

In some cases, about 50% of nests are carefully relocated to higher ground to protect them from high tides, an incredible effort that directly supports the survival of this endangered species.

Beyond the beach, STPHHI is just as focused on education and awareness. Through school programming, community outreach, and partnerships like the USCB Hilton Head Island DNA Lab, they are helping locals and visitors alike understand the importance of sea turtle conservation and the role we all play in protecting our coastline.

As we look ahead to a potentially high nesting season in 2026, their work becomes even more vital. Every volunteer hour, every marked nest, and every bit of awareness helps support a stronger future for sea turtles on Hilton Head Island.

Stop by their booth at the market to learn more, ask questions, and find out how you can support their mission right here in our community.
