Wingate is looking to hire full and part-time employees to join our crew for the 2022 season. Crew will be involved with and have responsibility in all elements of our farm, including field work, animal chores and care, harvesting/washing/packing produce, and occasional help staffing farmers market booths.

Individuals need to be prepared and able to work alone and with a crew. The ideal candidate will be dependable, have physical stamina, good communication skills, the ability to stay focused, a sense of humor, and a love of food and hard work. Production farm experience of any kind is required.

Full-time position is 5 days a week, which includes 1-2 Sundays a month in a rotating schedule.

Part-time position is 2-3 days a week, which includes 1-2 Sundays a month in a rotating schedule.

We have private, non-shared, affordable on-farm housing available for employees.

Hourly wage commensurate with experience.

Wingate Farm is looking for help caring for our laying hens this winter (December 2021-March 2022), specifically on Sundays but Saturdays are very helpful as well. Sunday chore responsibilities will be shared among a few people in a rotating schedule so that no one person would be expected to work every Sunday. Applicants who want to work both weekend days will be given housing priority on the farm. There is an opportunity to continue employment into the 2022 farming season if desired.

The job includes feeding, watering, mulching, mucking, egg collection, egg washing, and egg packaging. We ask that those who apply have some livestock experience and/or a genuine interest in learning.

In general, work days are 4-6 hours long. Opportunities for additional work are available if desired.

Hourly wage commensurate with experience.

Sweet greenhouse grown Wingate Farm spinach is in the house! Come on by our farm store and pick some up - it’s delicious and healthy for you along with our milk, eggs and pasture raised meats!

Monday, Thursday, Saturday 9-6
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 2-6
Sunday’s closed.
