🍂 A little hello from behind the scenes at Under A Tin Roof… 🤎

We’ve been a little quieter around here lately, but life has been wonderfully FULL. ❤️

We’ve been spending some extra time helping our G-baby adjust to this whole “going to school” thing. 🥹🎒 We’re working on making those goodbyes a little easier and reminding her that going to school doesn’t mean we’re going anywhere.

And then there’s the other very exciting thing happening around here… 👶🏼💗
We are officially on NEW G-BABY WATCH and could get the call that it’s time for another little one to make their grand entrance at absolutely any moment! We are SO excited to be there, be involved, and help this brand-new mom and dad welcome their little one into the world. 🥰

So yes… we are a tiny bit behind on our baking this week. 😂 But we’re currently putting in some serious hours to make sure the stand is ready for you Saturday!
One little change for this weekend:

🚫 We will NOT have baked goods at the stand tomorrow, Friday.

But Saturday? We’re bringing the fall vibes. 🍁🍂

🍫 Chocolate Sourdough
🌶️🧀 Jalapeño & Cheddar Sourdough
🍁🥃 Maple Bourbon Pecan Sourdough — sweet maple, rich bourbon, buttery pecans and that delicious sourdough flavor all baked together into one cozy fall loaf. 🤎

And this one is dangerously versatile. 😋 Toast it with a little butter for breakfast, turn it into French toast, pair it with cream cheese, make an unforgettable turkey or ham sandwich, or honestly… just slice off a piece and eat it warm because you walked past the kitchen and it smelled too good to resist. 😂

Thank you for always being so understanding when life gets a little busy around here. You’ve become so much more than customers to us — you’re part of this crazy little farmstand family, and we’re incredibly grateful for you. 🥹❤️

And while we’re at it… if you’ve been through the first-day-of-school tears, clingy goodbyes, or the “YOU’RE LEAVING ME FOREVER!” phase… give us your best advice. 😂👇

We’re OPEN TOMORROW at Under A Tin Roof! 🎉 And if you’ve been waiting for an excuse to swing by… consider this your sign. 😉

🍅 THE TOMATO SITUATION HAS ESCALATED. 😂🍅

We filled the farmstand with as many baskets of our sweet little mini tomatoes as we could possibly fit… and then looked at what we had left.

Ummm… apparently the tomatoes didn’t get the memo that the baskets were full. 🤣

So instead of letting these little beauties sit around looking pretty, we’re canning them up! 🫙🍅

Fresh, colorful, sweet little tomatoes now… delicious jars of summer later. ❤️

If you’re a tomato lover, RUN—don’t walk—to the farmstand because we’ve got baskets out there and a whole lot more happening in the kitchen! 😋

🍞 LET’S TALK ABOUT WHAT YOU’RE REALLY LOOKING AT HERE… 😂

At first glance, you might think you’re looking at 8 loaves of bread.
Nope. 😂

You’re looking at flour, water, sourdough starter, salt, a whole lot of stretching, folding, waiting, questioning your life choices… and approximately 847 tiny decisions that happen before these ever make it to the farm stand. 😅

Each loaf starts as a sticky, unruly blob that somehow has to be convinced to become beautiful bread. There’s mixing, resting, stretching, folding, shaping, more waiting, cold fermenting, and then finally… baking. 🔥🍞

And THIS picture? 👀
There’s actually a whole little adventure between this stage and the pretty loaves that end up at the farm stand— This is what 8 loaves looks like BEFORE they become 8 beautiful loaves. 😂

So the next time you pick up a loaf from Under A Tin Roof, just know there’s a LOT of work hiding behind that crispy crust. ❤️

And while I LOVE making sourdough for all of you… let’s just say I wouldn’t be mad if someone invented a magical little bread machine that did all of this for me. 😉🤣

And because I’m curious…

We picked up these DELICIOUS cheese flavors from Hixton Cheese and Village Market— and if you know them, you KNOW they have some seriously good cheese! 🤤🧀

Now imagine these cheeses baked right into a warm, crusty sourdough loaf… 👀🔥🍞
Yeah. That’s where we’re headed.

We officially made it back into town, and today Under A Tin Roof kitchen is getting a BIG restock! 🙌🏼🛍️

After being away, we are MORE than ready to get our flour shelves full again and get back to doing what we love most… BAKING FOR YOU! 🥖🤎

That means fresh flour is coming in, dough is getting mixed, ovens are getting fired up 🔥, and all those goodies you’ve been missing are on their way! 😍

If you know my husband, you know his job keeps him on the road a lot 😢 —and work pull him away before his BIRTHDAY and our 33rd ANNIVERSARY! 🧳💔 Well, I wasn't having it! 😉 I packed my bags, chased him down in Kentucky, and crashed his work trip to celebrate our love the right way! 🥳🥂💖

33 years with this man and we still keep the adventures going! 💥 Chasing him across state lines to celebrate his birthday and our anniversary was a no-brainer.

Family and our farmstand community are my entire world, and taking time to honor both mean everything to me. 💕✨

I can't wait to get back to the stand and roll out ALL the incredible, exciting new things we have cooking up for you guys!
