Today was part one of planting 10,000 tulip bulbs - Jillian and I experienced everything a typical October day in Southcentral Alaska has to offer in the two hours we spent putting these bulbs to bed for the winter - sweet, warm sunshine, moody clouds, rain and a few solid-feeling pellets. But our future farming selves will thank us for the effort next spring when we have beautiful blooms to share with Homer!

Is it raining? Yes it is! Is the wind blowing? You betcha. But Homer farmers are packing up their trucks right now to bring you late season veggies and flowers down at the Homer Farmers Market we’ll be there starting at 10 AM but I can’t tell you how long we will last so don’t wait too long and we’ll all go home happy 🥰!

OK Homer, the weather is weather but the vibe at the Farmers Market is bountiful so roll on down and get some of the best produce of the season at the Homer farmers market today tend to whenever the farmers feet get too cold.

Liam- the-younger will be at the Homer Farmers Market tomorrow from 10 till whenever he gets too cold with fresh salad mix and the last bouquets of the season. He’s the only farm team member in town -some of us are leaving for warmer farm jobs, others (me) for a night of music in los Anchorage. Liam valiantly stepped in to man the fort. Maybe bring him a cookie for us? 🥶☃️🍪

It’s the last official Wednesday Homer, Farmers Market and the stands are packed with delicious veggies and beautiful flowers. Come see what Homer’s fabulous farmers have to offer from 2 to 5 PM.
