Aloha dear friends and family,
I want to let you know that my husband, Chef Aker, is still undergoing chemotherapy, and we are holding onto hope as we look toward starting a clinical trial in January. This journey has been overwhelming at times, but your compassion and support mean more than words can express.

Dear friends and family,

I wanted to take a moment to update you on my husband’s cancer care. He has begun his treatment in New York City, as the specific care he needs isn’t available in Hawaii. While we are taking things step by step, it looks like we’ll need to remain in NYC for an extended period.

This journey has had its challenges, but we’re finding strength in each other and in the support we’ve received from all of you.
