Having food that keeps my energy sustained…is critical…as my to-do list grows with every day getting closer to summer.

With local cherries beginning to be harvested-keep in mind that cherries are a great item to enjoy fresh…and sooooo good dried. I am working on our last gallon size bag of dried cherries from last season.

🍒they are easy to mix into morning oats, offering an easy way to add antioxidants.

🍒 steel cut oats and cherries can offer sustained energy, works to lower cholesterol, and fights inflammation!! 🍒

I love that my food can work hard for me, while Inwork hard thinning, changing water, planting the garden, preserving what is fresh, in the evenings before the housework and organizing for the next day begins!!

More and more and more of Americans need help getting enough fiber into their diets. Farmers need help to keep producing food. I think there can be a win win situation here!

Let’s all think about how we can add one more healthy item to our day- your body and farmers will thank you!

Getting the food preservation going!
Starting off with berries for the freezer and oregano for dinner dishes.
We are busy thinning peaches with hope we will have lots to preserve!

I’m trying to find one thing to preserve a week.
We hope you will find ways to keep your own or prever regional farms produce too!

I have been a little more quiet on here this past week- phone struggles and the busy pace of spring contributed.
I appreciate people checking in to see if the farm stand is open…which it is not…but I have been filling orders for people driving through! Some fruit was headed to a Mom to be who has been looooving pears during her pregnancy!
I have been day dreaming while stopping to smell all of my favorite spring flowers- lilacs and irises.
Looooving keeping ice tea on hand- embellishing with mint…keeps this warm days productive for me.

I am now starting to think the baby fruit so you can have a nice sized peach and Bartlett pear soon!

Soooo, the stand isn’t open yet, but you can find fruit for purchase at and

BUSY SPRING DAYS!!!!

What else would I rather do than have a tea party with my aunts and cousins and siblings mid day and then plant plant and plant trees through the heat of the afternoon with my guy? Often times working in the orchard produces great conversation; I think we both enjoyed it and the trees enjoyed putting their roots down in the soil!

Sunday was about teamwork! Thankful my sister agreed to attend Tulip Dig event! Tammi used to babysit my sisters and I, many moons ago! My older siblings used to work at Rasmussen’s farm picking cucumbers and other vegetables, also many moons ago… it was fun to visit the farm and have a good workout with a shovel, feeling so happy that this acreage is still in production and giving families memories that will last decades!
🤞Hope the tulips will add bursts of colors in my spring garden beds! I hope the memories of tea parties and planting trees will also bring bursts of smiles later!
