Some days start before the sun comes up and don’t end until it goes back down. Owning a small business means long hours, early mornings, late nights, and a whole lot of hard work behind the scenes that most people never see.

But then you walk outside at the end of the day and see a view like this. ❤️ It’s a little reminder to slow down for a minute, look around, and appreciate the small things.

We’re tired, we work hard, and some days are definitely longer than others—but we’re incredibly thankful for our customers, our community, employees and everyone who continues to support Stratton’s Custom Meats. God Bless

Which would you choose?

The beef on the left is freshly ground from a local farm. The beef on the right is typical grocery store ground beef.

Many people assume bright red means fresher—but that’s not true. Grocery stores use preservatives and packaging that keeps meat looking bright red longer. Fresh local beef is often a darker, natural color.

Fresh isn’t about the color—it’s about how it’s raised, processed, and handled.

Just because a package says “Product of USA” or “American product” doesn’t necessarily mean the animal was born, raised, and processed in the United States; it just means it was packaged in the US.
