From the Ground Farmers Market Collective We are a grassroots collective of farmers and communities working to increase Keweenaw food access.

The Collective spans Farm Markets in Houghton, Hancock, and Calumet. Our purpose is to engage the community in educational programs and events that teach and encourage people to grow, eat, preserve and enjoy seasonal whole foods in ways that promote health and nutrition, environmental stewardship, food sovereignty, and local economy. This wonderful community collaboration came together thanks to so many partners, each contributing in their own way—through financial support, marketing and promotion, donated merchandise, planning time and expertise, participation, and plenty of enthusiasm.

There are so many people and organizations who helped make this festival happen, and we are incredibly grateful for every contribution, big and small. Thank you for showing up for the market community, local businesses, and for the thimbleberry! ❤️
