🍯 Can Honey Really Be Organic?
You may see honey labeled “organic,” but here’s the tricky part: bees don’t understand property lines.
Honey bees can forage several miles from their hive, visiting thousands of flowers along the way. A beekeeper can control what happens inside the hive and how the honey is handled, but we can’t control every flower a bee visits.
That means it’s extremely difficult to guarantee that every drop of nectar came only from specific plants.
That’s why at Averie’s Apiary, we focus on what we can stand behind: pure, raw, local honey from our bees, harvested and bottled with care. We never use chemicals to treat for pests that may enter the hive like most beekeepers. We think beekeeping should be as natural as possible!🐝
Sometimes “organic” sounds better on a label—but when it comes to honey, knowing your beekeeper and knowing where your honey comes from matters. 💛
