You guys! Next time there’s a pork butt sale remember this recipe and thank me later!

Ingredients:
9lb pork butt
1 1/2 cups La choy soy sauce
1 1/4 cups lime juice
1 cup olive oil
2 tbs minced cilantro
6-8 minced bulbs of garlic
4 tspns cumin
2 tspns oregano, smoked paprika, garlic powder, coarse ground pepper
1 tspn chili powder

The big kitchen is closed 🥵 and the small kitchen is too small. Goldilocks over here has decided the grill is her best bet. So tomorrow Pete will smoke this 9lb Mexican lime inspired pork b***y for dinner! I forgot to say cumin!

Portable AC numero dos for the Jewell’s thanks to Sonja! Before we moved to Jersey Village we heard a lot of gossip about the “people” here and we’ve experienced nothing but loving neighbors. We never made friends in our old hood like we have here. Everyone always has everyone’s back and the support is immense. Sonja restarted the Farmers Market just to help JV residents survive and thrive through this economy. Kim & Connie help the community in so many ways. Kimberlee and Eric are always volunteering and supporting everyone they can. And our new friend Laura (Come and Eat It) is just as caring and supportive. I love this little city Jersey Village! I’m gonna need to use someone’s oven soon…. Haha! I love y’all and thank y’all for the love and support.

I missed my sister today while I was pickling alone. It took me forever to do 3 jars then I came outside and found another bowl full of cucumbers so I made 2 more jars plus a rando jar for the family. 🤪 Pre-order your jar now! I have 3 jars that haven’t been claimed and will be ready on Tuesday! These 5 jars will be ready in 2 weeks! Claim yours now! I’ve got spicy snackles, spicy spears, and spicy chips! Day 6 without air conditioning and we are very grateful for our neighbors Kim & Connie loaning us this portable AC that is really cold! I’ll be revisiting the ‘80’s tonight and will stand in front of it while it blows up my shirt with cold air. 😂 Thanks neighbors! We love y’all!

Dave, our Southern Magnolia tree, honorably named after my Daddy-o, bloomed its first stunning flower. I’ve always dreamt of having a huge magnolia tree and after all of the “when it rains it pours” bu****it we’ve been dealing with I see this as a beacon of light… hope. It’s a sign.
