That "yam" in your cart? It's probably a sweet potato. 🍠

Most of what's labeled "yams" in U.S. grocery stores are actually sweet potatoes, grown right here in Texas. True yams are a different plant altogether. Swipe to see how to tell them apart, why the mix-up happened, and three ways to eat them all week.

Call it what you want. Just get the good ones. Shop fresh sweet potatoes from local growers at your Nia curbside. Link in bio.

Homecoming is almost here, Tigers. 🐯

Feeding the whole crew shouldn't mean one person fronts the bill. With Nia, everybody shops their own cart and pays for their own part: wings from you, sides from your cousin, dessert from whoever always brings dessert. When you all order to the same curbside, your orders count together and everyone's price comes down.

Swipe for the tailgate starter list, then grab it all at your Nia curbside before kickoff.

We met you on move-in day. See you at homecoming. Tag the friend who always brings the sides. πŸ‘‡

We spend most of our day doing things for everyone else. So why do we still feel incomplete? πŸ’›

For her, purpose starts with wellness: doing things for yourself that are filling and fulfilling, and having real access to healthy food. When you take care of that part of you, you have more to give back to the people around you.

"To me, purpose means wellness, completeness and accessibility."

That's the purpose behind Nia too. Fresh, healthy food from local growers, made easier to reach for every neighborhood in Houston.

What does purpose mean to you? Tell us below. πŸ‘‡

Groceries, right here on campus. 🌱

Here's how it works for students and staff: order online, then pick your groceries up right here, no extra trip, no hassle.

Think good quality food at wholesale prices. Walmart pricing, Whole Foods quality. Plus the convenience of grabbing it all without ever leaving campus.

And if campus isn't your spot? There's probably a community curbside close to where you already are. You order, you pick up, you're done.

Because everybody's gotta eat. And everybody deserves the good stuff. πŸ’š

The goal is simple: Walmart pricing, Whole Foods quality. 🌱

Here's how NIA makes it work. We partner directly with farmers to get wholesale pricing. You order online at a rate that actually fits your budget. Then you pick it all up at your community curbside, often right at a church or gathering spot you already know.

Good food, real savings, and access that comes to your neighborhood instead of asking you to drive across town for it.

That's the model. That's the whole point. πŸ’š

We asked what we're most excited about right now. The answer? All of it starts local. 🌱

Activating local producers and growers. Connecting neighborhood food to real demand, the kind that grows brands, strengthens families, and builds up whole communities.

And the long game? Better health outcomes for everyone, from the littlest ones to our elders.

This is what purpose looks like when it goes to work. πŸ’š

People love to talk about food access in the abstract. We'd rather show you what it actually looks like.

See that corner store? For a lot of this neighborhood, that IS the grocery store. That's the access we have today.

This isn't judgment. It's not about what any block lacks. It's about the model we're building to change it, one that brings real food, real choice, and real buying power to the neighborhoods that have gone too long without it.

That change starts right here. Come with me. Let's go. πŸ’š
