Ryan is a Howells native and received his education in this arena from The University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he was awarded his Bachelors of
Science and Master’s degrees in animal science with a specialization in meat science before moving back to take over Faltin Meat Market. Since Ryan’s ownership, he has successfully continued some of the traditions from the previous owner, Dave Faltin, but has also upgraded a few pieces of equipment, incorporated new products into his line, and added a selection of ammunition for retail sales. Faltin Meat Market continues to provide high quality, affordable, custom slaughter for beef, pork, lamb, and goat as well as all other wild game, including deer, elk, beaver, antelope, turkey, etc. Additionally, Ryan & his staff work hard to produce award-winning meats and sausages as specialty orders and for sale to the public. During business hours, all of these products are for sale at Faltin Meat Market, but during non-business hours, a selection of Faltin Meat Market products can be found at Main Express (232 N 3rd Street). We slaughter on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays by appointment only. Wild game can be brought in during business hours for processing at a later time.
