Think about it…

When is the last time a Brazilian rancher supported your after prom party? When is the last time a Chinese owned hog farm took all the cards off the Christmas giving tree? Did they give to the “go fund me” for your neighbor kid with cancer?

Have they showed up to Christmas carol or lead your 4-H club? Did they gather the kids and clean up the road ditches? When was the last time they volunteered for the school board or ran for town mayor? Gosh, I don’t think I have ever seen them at a single community event, especially the ones where wallets are open and all the hands are helping to make something better.

How you choose to spend your money, matters. Your local economy means anything and everything to keeping communities alive.
Shop local.
Shop small.

Most of all, THINK before you spend.
There is a reason why we get asked to secure our own oxygen mask, before we help the one next to us.
Frankly, we can do both.
But we must take care of business at home, FIRST.
