The off-season looks a little different for us this year!

We are no longer processing cattle and the retail store is closed as well. 🧡 Coming September 2026 through January 2027, we’re dedicating our entire shop to deer processing.

To our hunters—thank you for trusting us with your harvest 🧡 It means everything to our family!

✍️Side note:
We’re taking resumes for the 2026-2027 deer season. This is perfect for someone who works outside so may be laid off in the Michigan winters! We are willing to train the right applicants. Starting pay is $15-$20/hour. Please email your resumé and availability to us: [email protected]

WE’RE STILL ACCEPTING DEER!

The number one question we’re being asked right now is:
“Is it still deer season?”

(So many messages so please be patient with me if I don’t answer right away … I’m slowly getting through them all!😅)

The short answer is: YES! 🎉

We won’t be closing our processing facility at
7405 Port Sheldon until all the orders are picked up, usually this the end of February but stay tuned for an exact date.
We will only be closing for about 6 months but we will be again for the 2026-27 hunting season!

I kept my composure all week, until a regular asked, 'What's for lunch, mama?'. As I made his olive burger, I was very close to changing my mind about closing the 96th Ave location! We started the lunch service to give our hard-working men a hot “home-cooked” lunch.

We'll relocate everything (not the lunch service 🥲) to our Port Sheldon store until the end of February and then close until Fall 2026. Opening again for deer season!

We're not closing due to lack of profitability but because we need space to grow. We need to have our cut room and coolers at the same location as the meat counter.

We're actively gathering feedback to shape our new plan, which we'll reveal over the next couple of months. You all came in with a lot of great ideas!
