Garden season is about to start hitting hard. Not everything is ready yet, we are still a few weeks away from being in full swing of having veggies available. We donā€™t outsource our vegetables they are all grown here on the farm. The weather canā€™t be controlled nor can we make them produce and faster than they are, be patient with us. One of the most dreaded chicken chores but it has to be done.
In this Oklahoma heat your birds drink a lot more water! Dirty water can make them sick fast, keeping them clean is essential.
Clean water helps them stay cool, healthy, and laying eggs. Dirty water breeds bacteria and can cause problems quickly.
Simple tips:
ā€¢ Change water twice a day or more.
ā€¢ Keep waterers in the shade.
ā€¢ Scrub them weekly.
