Today's Lunch, I am calling Food Art as It looks to good to eat. Starting by baking 2 halves of a white acorn squash rubbed with Sicilian Olive Oil, light salt and garlic powder 350 in oven for 30 minutes. I then took out and And Flipped over. Set oven to 250. I flaked rhe squash, added chopped candy onions and gaithers gold sweet peppers and Topped with 5 cheese blend on top. Back to the oven 5 minutes. Back out. Sour cream, bacon bits, Candied Jalapeños from Black Market Canning. Chopped Black Brandywine Tomatoes and a sprinkling of grated 5 blend cheese. Incredible is an understatement. Love these white acorn squash!!!

Making something new tonite. These are called Texas Twinkies. Fresh Jalapeños from the garden . I took out ribs and seeds. Cream cheese, parmesan, mixed with chopped up Brisket from Uncle Beth's BBQ. Chopped onion, Sante fe grande and Gaithers gold peppers stuffed in peppers and wrapped in bacon.AMAZING!!!!!!

To make one Drunk Witch cocktail you will need 2 ounces each of vodka, grenadine, and Blue Curacao. You will also need some Sprite to top off your drink and a maraschino cherry for garnish

Simple Potato and Corn Soup

Ingredients:

4 tablespoons butter or neutral oil
1/2 large onion, peeled and finely chopped
2 1/2 pounds potatoes, peeled and cut into small chunks
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
5 cups chicken stock {or 5 cups hot water with 5 chicken bouillon cubes}
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups frozen corn kernels, slightly thawed
1/2 cup milk
1 cup heavy cream
Kosher salt, as needed
2 - 3 green onions {green parts only}, thinly sliced

Directions:

In a soup pot set to medium heat, melt butter or heat oil. Add onions. Cook - stirring - two minutes until just starting to soften. Do not brown.

Add potatoes. Cook for about 3 - 4 minutes - stirring occasionally. Sprinkle in the flour. Stir to coat.

Cook - stirring occasionally - for about 3 minutes to cook off the raw flour taste.

Pour in chicken stock. Stir in black pepper. Bring to simmer.

Add corn kernels. Stir.

Reduce heat to low. Simmer - stirring occasionally - until potatoes are just fork-tender {not mushy}.

Stir in milk and heavy cream. Bring soup back to gentle simmer.

Taste and add salt only if needed. Grind in additional black pepper as desired.

Serve with sliced green onions for garnish.

NOTE: A pinch of crushed red pepper flakes can be added when stock is added for just a touch of spice, if desired.

All set up and Ready to Go. This is Our last week for the year. We want to thank everyone in Logan County Who came our and supported us and all the other Vendors this year. Today is a Beautiful day to get to the farmers market. Lots of awesome things here today. Here till noon.
