I can’t even believe I’m writing this 😭
This past year has been the most exciting, exhausting, and fun experience. Owning a plant shop was always a dream of mine and now I can say we’ve done it.
As you all know, we’ve had some pretty severe health issues recently.
Unfortunately, due to needing more time away from the shop than we ever expected and the rising costs of everything, we have decided to close.
We have put A LOT of thought into this. We’ve made pros and cons lists, changed our minds, looked at other options, etc.
This isn’t something we want to do but with everything going on and the uncertainty of what the future holds, we’ve been left with no other choice.
With the funding freeze still going on, we’ve lost an entire income while prices are surging and medical bills are piling up.
We hate admitting defeat but at this point in our lives, it’s impossible to keep everything afloat.
The good news is, this doesn’t mean Plant Parenthood is going away. We’re thinking of it as more of a rebranding 😉
We will still be here even without the physical shop.
We love and appreciate every single one of our costumers. We have received SO MUCH love and support from you all. Whether it’s watering plants, dropping food off or emptying our shelves when we found out about Brian’s brain tumor, you all didn’t hesitate to help and we will never forget that. 🥹
We’ve had the added benefit of making a lifelong friend. If we didnt have Hannah there to guide us, I dont know how we wouldve pulled it off. Shes the absolute BEST.
You havent seen the last of Plant Parenthood and Valley Vintage. 🫠
We will be closed by September so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for some good plant sales soon!
