Neysa's Naturals

Neysa's Naturals Neysa's Naturals is a Homestead owned and operated by Neysa Watkins, growing heirloom vegetables and flowers, with plans to expand into herbs and sheep.

Filling a gap in market availability in South Arkansas and North Louisiana, Neysa's Naturals provides quality heirloom, pesticide- and herbicide-free, naturally grown vegetables, fruits, and flowers, seasonally available beginning May-July of 2016. With plans to expand into the fields of fresh herbs and herbal tonics for common illnesses and injuries, as well as sheep and goats for fiber and leath

er goods production, this business is open to new ideas, requests for crops, and of course, education in the local communities about an all-natural way of living as well as working. With horses to plow and plants to grow, we look forward to seeing you on the homestead this spring and summer!

I would like to tell everyone that has followed us at Neysa's Naturals so far on this journey that, sadly, circumstances have conspired against us. While we here at Neysa's Naturals were striving to provide affordable organically grown produce, flowers, and herbs to a community long underserved in this regard, other forces outside our control have decided we cannot do this in the location we currently occupy. As such, Neysa's Naturals is closing as a business, and no longer will be allowed to sell produce, flowers, or herbs at all. We will remain online for a while yet, to see if something will potentially open up to allow us to begin marketing to those in need once more, but the webstore will be going offline ASAP. Please continue to tune in as often as possible, as we will still work to bring you all the details of our search for more hospitable environs for our good work. Thank you for your support. Until we meet again, dear friends.

And yes, this may be the first day of April, but you are not being fooled. This sadness is all too true.

good info for your garden bookshelf!

One common belief among gardeners is that tomato varieties with potato-type leaves are much more likely to cross pollinate than regular leaf tomatoes. What is the basis of this wisdom? Is there any truth in it?

This is a great story. I stayed up late that night to watch for the final updates!
