For those looking to improve genetics in their apiary, I have a limited number of 1st daughters from instrumentally inseminated VSH breeder queens. (These are from Jason Bragg). Mostly on medium foundation. Only selling in nucs right now.
Pickup in 20781 starting this Sunday.
Mothers and last year's 1st daughters overwintered 100%. I keep the inseminated stock in my own backyard and they have been easy to work. (And don't terrorize my dogs or the neighbors)
Maryland Farm and Harvest featured my apiary in their Emmy award winning episode 601.

Please read: $50 Deposit with $175 due at pickup. 5 Frame Nucleus Colony DEPOSIT ONLY (total cost $225). $175 to be paid in cash at pick up. Nuc will include an open mated queen with 3 frames of open and capped brood and bees of her own lineage and 2 additional frames of bees with pollen and honey.....

Town of Riverdale Park Holiday Season Kick-off Event!
See Riverdale Park Arts musicians and shop local on Saturday, Dec 2 4-7pm as we join the Town of Riverdale Park for their Holiday Season Kick-off event! Music starts at 5pm. Groups include Noah Getz Jazz Trio, Hart-Petit Jazz Trio and the Parkdale High School Choir.

Honey Harvest Demonstration!
Monday, May 23rd from 3 - 5ish PM at Streetcar 82 Brewing Co. They are located at: 4824 Rhode Island Ave. Hyattsville MD 20781.
You'll get to see how honey is removed from frames with a hot knife and a centrifuge. Freshly harvested honey will be added to
a Citra Honey Lager near the end of the demonstration. The beer should bee (ha!) ready and on tap Memorial Day weekend. It is only available on location or for carryout.
Our last brew won the Bronze medal in the National Honey Board competition (2021).
The brewery is normally closed for brewing on Monday, but are opening their doors to serve up local brews for the special event.
Can't wait to see you all and share the magic of the honey harvest!
