Scheduled pop up ❤️ details below.
Thank you all so much for your support these last few days. The community support has been overwhelming, and we know we have the power to make a change as a collective people 💪🏻 if you would like to sign our petition and have not yet- please click this link! https://c.org/srFsmhC9JP
We were recently directed to a new Idaho State Law #1283 (passed March 20, 2026) called the Direct to Consumer Commerce Act. This law specifically defines farmstands and outlines a guideline for direct to informed consumer sales in the state of Idaho to encourage economic growth within our state.
We feel this law protects us. It appears that someone has fought our battle recently, and won.
We’ve submitted this legislature to our zoning office. The problem with laws is they can be interpreted in a matter of ways. That’s why we have a court system. I feel like this law is so clear cut, and the clear intention of our great state is to encourage farmers, producers, and cottage food makers to connect with their consumers. We’re waiting for a response from our local authorities.
Our intention in complying, while we feel this situation has been unjust, was to create a peaceful precedent to change laws in our county to better serve our small business owners and their customers.
Research into how we can make this happen has been all consuming of our days. And I can not wait to get back to the sweet peace of baking bread ❤️
Regardless of our answers this week, we will be baking for Saturday ❤️ please follow along while we determine if we can be open from our home, or if we’ll be at a pop up location. We’ve had multiple amazing small business owners reach out to us about utilizing their parking lots to pop up our farmstand ❤️❤️ shoutout to Josh Cross and Caroline Daugherty at the Rockin Cross Country Store and Ryan Joos at our N 25th street Fixxology for being absolutely amazing local small business supporters ❤️❤️ both heard of our issues and immediately offered a helping hand.
We have been invited to use the parking lot at Fixxology, which we feel could most conveniently serve our customers for the time being, since it is only 1 mile away from our home, right next to the highway 20 exit.
This weekend we will plan to accept preorders, as well as planning a surplus of extra items for people to just stop by (wherever we end up). Please send me a message to be added to a preorder list for Saturday ❤️ if we don’t sort out our reopening here at our home shortly, do not fret! We will plan pop ups regularly until we can figure it all out!
On this weekend’s bake plans we have:
Sourdough bread - classic, jalapeño, and everything seasoning
Milk rolls
Chocolate chip cookies
Oatmeal cream pie cookie sandwiches
Lemon poppyseed muffins
Apple crumble muffins
Peanut butter bars
Chocolate fudgey brownies
Pumpkin chocolate chip bread
Granolas
We will plan to stock as many of our normal items as we can possibly bring- jams/jellies, eggs, pancake, chai, and herb mixes, lollipops, and FD candies.
This is a completely new avenue for us to prepare a single bake day, with the potential of also hauling it all to a separate location. Our weekly baking on the farmstand is around 120 loaves of sourdough, hundreds of muffins, cookies, and bars, and more. Scheduling this bake day will take careful planning as you all KNOW I’m a fruitcake for FRESH FRESH FRESH, as fresh as baked items can possibly be ❤️ please bear with us as we navigate this weekend’s bake schedule and respond to what I’m positive will be another flood of messages. I love you all and will take the time to answer any questions, it might just take me a while to get to them ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you again, I’m so looking forward to connecting with you all. Our farmstand can be a faceless endeavor since it allows me to be employed but then walk away and spend my days with my small children. I love meeting you all at the farmstand when I can and I’m excited for an opportunity to put all your lovely faces to your names ❤️
Thank you for your support! We love this community! ❤️🐷❤️
