Looks like we are finally out of frost threats around here, so I'm setting them back out to harden off for a couple of days, and giving them a good spray of neem oil for added protection from pests and fungus.

Had everything outside to harden off, but with lows hitting the upper 30s this week, decided to bring them back in. Even if the low temps don't kill them, it could stunt their growth significantly.

Better late than never... This year I just went with store bought peat moss and perlite for the germination mixture, and started with 72 cell trays, with only one transplant planned before going into the ground/hydro.

Like standing in a spicy field of xmas trees.... Don't worry, they will not be wasted, I'm gonna harvest a ton of seed, and the left over fruit will go to the the farm birds.

I did not love getting rained on this morning while loading my truck, but that rain came at the perfect time. I just did a heavy harvest on most of my plants. They should explode with new production!

Welp, the tater experiment is over. I planted these on the dirt surface and then covered with about 2 feet of leaves. I thought the yield might be a little better, I got about 30-35 pounds, from 5 pounds of seed potatoes. Not bad, but I was aiming for 50. I like how easy it was to harvest, and the earth worms absolutely loved it as well. Already ate one, baked, 100xs better than OLD store bought potatoes.
