From 2016 to 2019, mango supplies quadrupled. In 2018 alone, 24.6 thousand tons were imported, and from January to September 2019, 19.7 thousand tons were imported (customs code “080450”, in the FCS statistics, mangoes are included with guava and mangosteen). Mangoes are mainly brought to Russia from Brazil, Peru and China. Brazil supplies the varieties Kent, Keitt, Palmer, Tommy Atkins, the Royal mango is imported from Peru, and the Alphonso variety is imported from India. These are green, green-red fruits of a round or oval shape with yellow flesh. They are cheaper than yellow mangoes - they are more elongated, with orange flesh inside, and they are supplied from Thailand and Vietnam.
In 2020, imports of mangoes to Russia amounted to 38.7 thousand tons, 24.3% more than in 2019 (31.1 thousand tons). For the nine months of 2021, supplies amounted to 32.8 thousand tons (in January-September 2020 - 27.2 thousand tons). The average delivery cost per ton of mango in September 2021 was 2,030.2 USD or 148 thousand rubles/ton. The key supplying countries of mangoes to the Russian Federation were: Peru (29.6% of the total volume), China (23.4%), Brazil (17.7%), Vietnam (7.8%), Israel (5.8%). ), Egypt (4.4%), Dominican Republic (3.6%)
