The most romantic chocolate ever crafted is back on time for the loveliest time of the year.❣️ Papillotes were named after a specialty sweet confectioner - Monsieur Papillot, who crafted chocolates and sweets in his shop in Lyon, France during the 18th century. One day, Monsieur Papillot discovered his apprentice stealing from his shop to woo the lady living across the street. The young man hid the sweets in wrapped paper, plain on the outside but with secret love messages on the inside to sneak them out of the kitchen. Rather than getting angry for stealing, Monsieur Papillot was smitten with the ruse. The newly couple eventually got married and message-wrapped papillotes have been a Christmas tradition ever since. ♾️

Fairness, transparency, authenticity and community. These four values are the building blocks of myPanier, a curated marketplace for local artisan craft and specialty food from around the world.

Chris Boyac, Owner and CEO of myPanier, was the child of market booth owners growing up in Provence, France. He was inspired by his parents as they championed local produce at farmers’ markets each week. Then, Chris had the opportunity to support local artisans during his career running large retail stores. He founded myPanier in 2015 with the goals of bringing more transparency to our food system, creating economic opportunities for food producers and opening a flow of communication and discovery between producer and consumer.
