Good Friday, everyone! Three weeks and a day until market opens! We are so excited to get another market year started! We will be open for business Saturday, April 25th, at 8AM. Tied and True will be there, and so will Allie Leigh Crochet and Cyn's Corner Salves. I know a whole bunch of you are planning to be there, so vendors, let us know who you are and what you sell. We'll see you April 25th!
For new vendors and those who haven't been back in a while, Vendor Guidelines are below.
South Campbell County Farmers' and Homesteaders' Market
Vendor Guidelines
1. All homemade items to be sold are to be made by the vendor or the vendor's immediate family.
2. All produce is to be grown in Tennessee, and if grown outside Campbell County, a sign stating the county of origin is to be clearly displayed at the vendor's booth. If the vendor brings produce not grown at home, the produce is to be purchased directly from the Tennessee farmer and not from a supermarket.
3. Farm animals may be sold at the farmers' market and may be present if they are the size of a goat or smaller. If cattle, horses, llamas or other large farm animals are to be sold, the vendor may bring photos and papers with information for their customers. All animals must be securely contained.
4. The farmers' market is not the place to sell pets. Vendors may sell puppies if they are farm working breed dogs and the proper registration papers are present.
5. The vendor is responsible for their own booth and must keep it clean. At the end of the day the area must be put back in order and all trash and any messes left by animals must be cleaned.
6. No loud music is to be played in the booths. This is for the comfort of the customers and the other vendors.
7. For food sales, including food trucks with Tennessee based businesses, the vendor must have any necessary permits and be ready to present them if asked.
8. We request that all vendors commit to at least four Saturdays out of the farmers' market year and be present for at least four of the six hours the market is open on a chosen Saturday.
