Garden Gathering! EGG HUNT! and more...

Save the date: Saturday, April 11th at 6:00 p.m. We will be having our next garden gathering. This free family friendly event will be an opportunity to connect with others, toward the garden enjoy a potluck meal and just relax and unwind.

This month's theme: We will have an egg hunt for the kiddos and a scavenger hunt for interested adults. Come join the fun.

RSVP greatly appreciated, please let us know the number of kids and ages if possible so can plan for the egg hunt.

Please bring a dish if you are able.

PS - We will be having monthly garden gatherings on the 2nd Saturday of every month. Mark your calendars 😀

GARDEN GATHERING!

Save the Date: Saturday, March 14th at 6 pm we are having our first Garden Gathering! This free family friendly event will be an opportunity to connect with others, tour the garden, enjoy a potluck meal and just relax and unwind.

This month theme: We’ll have a fire pit and provide hotdogs and marshmallows to roast.

Harvested a bunch of little potatoes from our potato experiment. We grew them in crates. They are small because we started them really late, but how fun. Plus, didn't need to dig him up just dumped him out of the crate.

Want free pears? We picked a hundred pairs off our tree yesterday and still have plenty more. They are free while they last just let us know. You will have to ripen them on your counter though. We pick them before they are ripe so they last longer.

Well, that wasn't supposed to happen... came back from our trip to find that within the last few days something (probably geese) have been feasting on our garden. We've installed flags on post with fishing lines stretched below them to keep them at bay. We will let you know how it goes.

Great morning in the garden! We got most of the sprawl area planted with squash and watermelon starts. We're calling it the surprise garden this year since after the wind storm that flipped everything all the labels were mixed up. No worries though just adds to the adventure 😊

Good news - We were able to rescue the greenhouse, it's a bit crooked but very functional. I think we'll be able to save about 2/3 of the veggie starts and the garden itself is in great shape. So, while it's been a lot of work there's no real long-term harm. We are grateful to have things up and running. PS - lots to pick in the garden. Yum

Looks like we got hit by a twister or something. Came home to the greenhouse wrapped around the fence andall the tables with our starts flipped. We are doing what we can to salvage what we can.
