While we are cooking out this Memorial Day weekend, remember those who have fallen in service to this great country.

Here at Jones Meat & Locker, we lost one of our own while he was serving: SSG Mathew Weikert (5-15-81 – 7-17-10).

Because of that, Memorial Day holds a very deep meaning for us. We are honored to have had Matt work with us, and we are still honored to have his father, Richard, working with us today.

Richard asks that we all take just a few moments this weekend to remember our fallen soldiers — to read their names, look at their pictures, and never forget the sacrifices they made so we can enjoy this weekend with our families and friends.

Matt and his Gold Star family will forever and always be part of the Jones Meat & Locker family.
