When you run a small-scale flower stand or do local events, you can’t just throw things into a bouquet and hope for the best.

You have to know how they perform. Will they hold up for a week, or will they turn into a sad, wilty mess after 24 hours?

Don’t harvest floppy stems!!! For the best case life and to make sure your zinnias look the best in arrangements, try the wiggle test before harvesting.

Save this for when your blooms come in and you need a reminder!

My flower beds might be taking over the garden but I still love getting fresh food!

Meet the flower that is about to completely steal the show at the driveway stand this year: Eryngium Blue Glitter.

They’ll be ready for your kitchen tables when the stand opens up later this summer!

Would you put this metallic beauty in your kitchen bouquet, or do you prefer traditional flowers? Let me know below! 👇

Swipe to see our garden’s glow up from 2019 ➡️

Good things take time (and a lot of shoveling). You don’t need a massive farm or a landscaping budget to grow your own food and flowers, of course.

You just need patience, consistency, and a willingness to get your hands dirty. If I never see a landscaping rock again, I’ll be just fine.

Over the last few weeks, my inbox has been flooded with the sweetest messages asking when flowers will be available. And trust me, nobody wants them on the table more than I do!

But here is the reality of a one-woman backyard flower farm:

I don’t have high tunnels, greenhouse heaters, or any fancy tech to force these blooms out of the soil early.

Every single stem you buy from me this summer started from a tiny seed in my house, and as of 2 weeks ago, they are officially in the dirt.

Because of that, we are looking at a tentative opening date of late June / early July. I may have some bouquets here and there before then. But that will be the ETA for consistent openings.

Stay tuned and follow for more updates, the official opening date, plus sneak peeks of new flowers that will be in the bouquets this year!

Thank you for being patient with mother nature. I promise the wait will be so worth it.
