🐮🐮Please note that we do emergency service calls; the animal must be able to stand on its own with no assistance. (This is federal law and could mean the loss of our license and livelihood if we do not comply.) Owners will likely need to fill out paperwork based on the situation.

Lily could have gone on for hours about the science behind the beef that ends up on your dinner plate, but we only had about twelve minutes to talk. 😍 We have heard of "bacon seeds", but have you heard of "steaklings"?! 😍

🐮🐖🐑🐐We love seeing all the different farms that we have traveled to in the last few months. Every family has a story, and every animal has the utmost respect from the farmers who cared for them and from us as we make sure they are treated humanely throughout the entire process.

Throughout this journey, I have often been asked what made me get into this industry. What called me to this job? For those of you who know my background, where I am today is a far cry from what I thought I was going to do.

On the surface, it may seem like opening my own mobile slaughter and processing business is the complete opposite of wanting to be a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. However, it’s truly a reflection of the same core principles that I’ve held throughout the last decades. What drives me is helping people and doing my personal best at all times.

Opening Township Meats, LLC has allowed me the opportunity to take a very direct role in empowering producers, aligning processors, and educating consumers on how we all play such a critical role in our food village. This humanity-driven approach to meat processing is the brainchild behind the name of my business. A small township business bolstering the network required to keep food circles local.

As part of my first step toward actively promoting the local food network, I have created a public Google Map outlining a few of the many producers in the State of Wisconsin. Every week we have people in our community calling, texting, and emailing us to find where they can purchase locally raised meat and keep their dollar in their neighborhood. 😍 Be part of our circle and help us help them. ✨Yes! We are still taking deer! BEST of luck to the last 24 hours available to our Wisconsin bow hunters!✨

✅We take quarters and trim year round, and we will keep our shop open for the late season bow hunters til the first few days of February 2026. Best of luck tomorrow on the last day of Wisconsin 2025-2026 Deer Season, and thank you from the bottom of our heart for the incredible support you have shown us this year and the years prior. We blew our goal out of the water again this year, which is incredible for a business of our small size.

As we start to transition to our mobile slaughter and processing months, we wanted to introduce ourselves. Township Meats, LLC is owned and operated by Lily Cooper, a Janesville, WI native. She got her start in this industry eight years ago in Spring Green, WI while working for a butcher shop that did mobile slaughter and had a brick and mortar processing facility. She fell in love with the work instantly and misses her great team up in Spring Green. When she moved back home in 2023, she decided to launch "Township Meats, LLC" as a wild game processing facility with the intention of becoming licensed for livestock slaughter and processing. It took three years, but her dream is finally becoming a reality. We really could not have done it without every single person who has used us for their deer processing, helped us with labor/supplies/infrastructure/ideas, and even just offered words of encouragement. This first deer ever is going to be really tough to beat! And a crossbow kill on public land to boot! Can't top that!

We are STILL accepting deer through January 31st! Today, Saturday January 17, Lily will be hitting the ice 🎣 with her future in laws, but the walk in cooler is open and clear. There are plenty of red tags, so just make sure to clearly mark your deer.

🦌As we wrap up the last few Holiday Hunt deer and look forward to seeing what late bow season brings us, we are thrilled to announce that we now can accept all major credit cards and other contactless payment options! Starting in February, there will be a 3% convenience fee charged on all card transactions, so be sure to get in before then!

Some highlights from 2025:
✅Lily has been able to make Township Meats her full time career thanks to YOU
✅In July, we purchased a refrigerated box truck that was outfitted for mobile slaughter....
✅ ...and in November, we acquired our DATCP registration to offer mobile slaughter and processing year round!
✅We are very close to double the number of deer processed this season from last year!
✅We have caped out a record number of gorgeous bucks this year!
✅We were able to add a rail system in our walk in cooler this past summer to streamline our organization and improve separation of carcasses
✅We acquired a new to us Hobart band saw for our livestock operation

✨THANK YOU, as always, for your continued support. Township Meats, LLC has grown in ways we never thought possible when we were coming up with the business plan three years ago, and we owe our success to each and every person who has supported our business.
