It's been a little while since we've posted, but we promise we've been busy!

Over the past several months we've been balancing our full-time jobs while building this farm from a blank slate. It's been a lot of hot days and hard work, but last week brought two big milestones that made it worth it...

1. We finally have POWER on the farm!
2. We welcomed our very first (of many) Berkshire piglets!

These are two major steps towards the vision we've had from the beginning, and they open the door to what's next.

We'll soon begin hosting agriculture-focused events here on the farm. Whether you're interested in farming, homesteading, or just spending time outdoors with family, we're excited to create experiences that will bring people together.

We're also officially beginning our Berkshire pork program! In the future, you'll be able to purchase:
-Whole Hog
-Half Hog
-Quarter Hog
-Individual retail cuts

We're incredibly excited about this next chapter and can't wait to share the progress, the successes, the challenges, and everything in between. Thank you to everyone who has followed along and supported us as we've started to build this dream from the ground up.

A quick update from Root96.

We won't be setting up the produce stand this weekend.

First, we want to say thank you to everyone who has stopped by, purchased produce, shared a kind word, or simply followed along on this journey. Every visit has meant more to us than you know.

As we've continued opening each weekend, we've seen traffic gradually slow down. Building a farm from the ground up is new territory for us, and we're learning as we go. It requires a tremendous amount of time, energy, and capital, and right now we need to be thoughtful about where we invest those resources.

One thing we've learned is that while we love offering fresh produce to our community, produce alone may not be enough reason for people to make the trip. We believe Root96 needs to be more than a produce stand. It needs to be a destination, an experience, and a place people genuinely enjoy visiting.

Over the next few weeks, we'll be working on new ideas, improvements, and ways to make Root96 better. We're excited about what's ahead, and we're not giving up on the produce stand, we're simply taking a step back so we can build something stronger.

So this isn't goodbye to the produce stand. It's a "let's make Root96 better."

Please keep following along. We have a lot of ideas, a lot of work ahead of us, and we can't wait to share what's next.
