I had the pleasure of traveling to Austin for a private cake class. This little love bug was the most amazing student and showed such talent. This is the first time she had ever piped or done anything with blended frosting. The cake was vanilla with vanilla buttercream and the cupcakes were chocolate with chocolate buttercream.
I demonstrated what to do and she did everything herself. I was so impressed. Look out Texas bakers, competition is coming!

Fun story, Meacham car show is in town. There is a lady here for that from Houston. She read the article about Toast on Route 66 in the Tulsa World and it mentions my pie. She bought a whole coconut cream pie. It made my heart happy. If you are a coconut cream pie fan I make a lot of them.

Never say never. So many times I have said I would never make a wedding cake. When you have the most amazing neighbors and they ask you to do their grandaughter’s wedding cake you just say yes.
