We the Filstop family would like to say thank you for 46 years of letting us be a part of you’re lives. It has been the greatest blessing to serve everyone here in our locations. Yes the new Clifton location did not last long. I tried to expand but unfortunately it did not work out. I really wish it had. Jersey City was such a landmark and staple and we are so thankful for everyone being so loyal to us there. Even with all the issues shopping there like traffic and lack of parking and the small size of the store. With the humble beginnings of three sets of husbands and wife’s starting the store in 1973 they loved serving the community and introducing Filipino food to the area. Then in 2002 when I was given the opportunity to run the store. It was a blessing to let us serve everyone. We were able to do things we only dreamed of. From continuing the store to. Being able to start a website that was recognized as a leading Filipino destination for items online. During all this time we had the greatest employees as well. They were family to us not just workers.

Sorry for the rambling post but it’s a very hard time but we need to remember all the good times and that is what we hope everyone remembers about Filstop that was originally Phil Am Food. Just want to end this with we will love and miss all our customers and employees over the years.

So if you ever see me anywhere don’t hesitate to ever say hi. I am not going to let this end me. I will become better and be the best husband and father. This is the silver lining in all of this.

This week in Jersey City we now are having a sale on our items. Most of the items in the store are now 40% off.

Thank you everyone for the support over the years. I know everyone has been hearing many different. Things about what is happening. Yes we are still open but this may be our last week. We are not sure yet though. So we would love to see everyone come down and see us. For 46 years we have had the pleasure of serving everyone the Filipino products. That reminded everyone of the great memories of the Philippines.

Sorry everyone I know we have been quite for a while here. So let us give you an update on our store

1 The Jersey City store is still open. So for everyone asking sorry for the confusion.

2 we had closed our online store on January 1st sorry for that but if we open it back up we will let everyone know.

3 we had closed our Clifton location. We know it had just opened but was not working for us unfortunately. Now if things change there we will let everyone know ASAP.

I would like to say thank you to everyone that has supported us all these years. It has been a blessing to our family and our staff threw all these years.

Jersey City will continue to serve everyone and if one day we will no longer be open. We will let everyone know ahead of time. Being part of everyone’s shopping routine for the last 46 years has been an honor for us. We will keep going in Jersey City for everyone as long as we can.

But they say that all things also must come to an end.
