How to make homemade Siomai Sauce

Ingredients:
1/2 cup chillies/siling labuyo
1/4 cup olive oil or cooking oil
1 head garlic, peeled and minced
dried shrimp or meat finely chopped or grind

Procedure:
Combine chopped chillies, dried shrimp or meat and minced garlic then simmer for around 20 minutes or til most of the water has evaporated. Add oil, simmer and stir well.

SIOPAO by Gladies Handog
Siopao dough:
3 cups ap flour
4-5 tbsp baking powder
4 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 c fresh milk
1 tsp quick or active yeast in half a cup water (let rise for 10-15 mins)
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Combine flour baking powder sugar, salt and vegetable oil
Mix well and add the risen yeast and milk little bit at a time.
Knead to ball and let rise for 1 hour.
For the asado
adjust to taste
2 lbs pork belly
1 med size onion
Veg oil
4 tbsp hoisin sauce
4tbsp soy sauce
4 tbsp oyster sauce
3 tbsp sugar
Add oil to pan
Saute onions then add pork. Add a little water
Add your sauces.
Wait till pork is soft.
Cool down
It will be better to wrap sa dough if medyo half frozen.
You can use a cookie dough scoop
Bring a large pot of water to a boil
Coat your steamer with cooking spray
Place steamer on top of the pot with boiling water
Make sure the water does not touch the bottom of the steamer
Meanwhile you can place a cut up parchment paper at the bottom of each siopao (sapin)
Place filled siopao, cover and steam for 20 minutes.
Remove, cool down and serve.
